Dr. Burns was born on Dec. 18th, 1943 in Norman, Oklahoma. He had one brother, Jerry Dickinson, and two sisters, Teresa Burbank and Shirley Brooks. He lived a rich and full life in service of others, never asking for anything in return. He served his country in Vietnam earning numerous honors and medals including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal of Valor. He served his community by devoting his life to the care and healing of sick children. He served his church by serving as a deacon and a friend. He served his family with unconditional love and provions. He kind and gentle spirit as well as his soft-spoken words will forever be missed.
